Learn to cook if you want some good lovin'

* * *

Fellas, I’m sharing with you a great piece of advice…learn how to cook! I can’t make this any simpler. If you have your own spot and can cook a romantic meal, together with a bottle of wine, you’re good to go. For a knockout dish, I usually prepare chicken parmigiana, side of mixed vegetables and linguini pampered in home-made tomato sauce. For an extra kick, I conjure up my lemon pepper seasoning and butter to marinate the chicken parmigiana. If prepared right, she’ll be having mouth orgasms in no time. A classy icing to the cake is a bottle of nice Maui Blanc whine, followed by a small cup of ice cream for dessert. Table set up: go for elegant, yet practical. If you’re on a budget (like most of us), don’t bend over backwards and max out your bank account for a romantic dinner. Classy can be captured by using some imagination and a trip to the dollar store. See E-how’s article “How to create an Elegant Table Setting on a Budget” at http://www.ehow.com/how_4599205_elegant-table-setting-budget.html

I usually set the mood with candlelight. Dim the lights to low and set your stereo to play smooth jazz. If you don’t have access to a stereo, do what I did in college and use your laptop and speakers. Go to Slacker radio at www.slacker.com for smooth jazz. Create a sample menu of the meal that’s going to be prepared as well. You can your menus as place settings.

On the night before dinner, tell her that you’re going to a fancy restaurant and need to dress up. On the day of, pick her up and drive towards said restaurant; pass up the restaurant, (her face should be one of puzzlement) and arrive to your place for dinner.

If done right, you should have a great ending to a great night.

NOTE: These romantic type dinners should not be introduced before three or four dates. For one, all the mushy-romantic stuff may be too much for females to handle within “the getting to know you stage.” Second, a romantic dinner, distinguishes you from the average joe, who just pays to take his girl out to a fancy restaurant. So be prepared. If you do decide to roll out the fancy dinners, prepare them for “wifey” material only…no “one-nighters,” because they’ll get hooked. Good luck.
